Wishing all a Happy Lunar New Year 2011!

Other than Christmas, CNY is like my favourite festival of the year!
I get to wear new clothes, mahjong, spam new year goodies and basically, enjoy myself!

Ok anyway, haven't really had a good chance to update my blog and i believe anyone hardly reads my blog anyway.

It's been 3 weeks since i pass out from BMT (like finally) and i got posted to SCS!
YES! I've made it into a command school.

Life started in SCS when i got posted to Juliet Company.
Leading not a very motivating life in SCS, but true, life's rather slack!
SCS'S the SEX!

I don't know why each time i try to keep myself optimistic towards NS,
somehow or rather, the energy seems to die off quickly somehow or rather.

Totally not motivated to learn anything, and i have in mind every single hour every single day
is just sleep sleep bookout bookout.

It's like army has turned me into a lazy creature.
I totally don't have any mood to do anything.
Even when i'm a civiliation.
No inspiration. No nothing.

Please, post me out after foundation term, i don't wanna stay for pro term to be Infantry!
Fingers crossed!

I'm really tired of doing all this.
I can't wait for the day i get back my pink ic and step out from this crap.
As much as i dread army life, i will perserve and count down the days left to ORD....

5 months done and 1.7 years more to go.....

2010 had been a good yet FAST year.

Finished last semester in poly, graduated.
Went on a graduation trip to Japan & Taiwan with dear friends!
Worked at Starhub as a CRC - Good experience!
I never knew i could ever communicate with strangers on the phone fluently!
Went to KOREA with family.
And ARMY life started and still counting.....

Have been lazing around at home and slacking.

Hahaha, so because i'm busy watching [A Good Day For The Wind To Blow]!

My dear Unnie is the first leading actress in this drama; how can i not support her! Oh men, a total of 100 episodes and i'm already done till Episode 39! Why do they always like to make their drama sooo long! Can't wait for them to quickly upload the rest! I'm too fast already! =X

One bad thing i hate about Korean dramas is that they are always so draggy! So many episodes! But for this show, you know why it is an exception! =D

Oh dear, it seems like this little corner of mine has been left to grown algae for quite some time!

In the blink of an eye, 2009 is gone! 2009 seems to past really fast to me!
Could be the 6 months period during my final year project and IPP.

To sum up the year, 2009 has been great! Definitely much better than stinky ~~2008~~!

1) Wonderful 6 weeks Overseas Attachment Programme trip to Beijing!

2) Attachment at Neptune Orient Lines was awesome. Learnt alot! Life's philosophy, responsibility and nonetheless, great times!

3) Great 2 months holidays! Total distress vacation.
Chills, unwind, mahjong, shopping, KL trip!

4) Had an awesome 19th!
That to me was one of the greatest birthday celebration i've ever had.

4) School term started and each week just pass and go!

I must say, every year, i'm stronger.
Letting go useless and unnecesary memories.
Whatever that are redundant will be ignored.
The word is - don't know and don't care.

I have to be more confident.
I need to be more decisive.
I need to start living for myself!
I really need to work on myself.
I have to be stronger, and stronger.

Fatigue.

Work at Comex Show has finally ended and itwas super super exhuasting. You bet!
Had steamboat at Bugis with the guys after work on the last day.
"This is life!", as Guo Hao exclaims after putting the first food in his mouth.
Heavenly!

Work at Science Park II at Johnsons&Johnsons for a day as to replace Nicholas as he is unable to make it.
Filling in solution for their new facial mask for consumer testing.
In lab suits and all. Cool job (and good pay, -hiak!)
This would be a really cool part time job lah. If only they have more assignments for us.
And one thing for sure...
Science Park is really ulu.....

Frequent mahjong sessions plus LAN sessions with Poh, Glenn and Jackson was great.

It is also my first time watching a football match!
Manchester United vs Manchester City.

Woah just exciting. One goal after another.
Especially the last goal when Owen saved the day!
WE ALL JUMPED AND EXCLAIMED!

I don't know why but i just love Man U. I'm just a small fan of theirs though.

I think it's because you are watching it with friends that's why you don't find it boring.
I picked up quite a bit about soccer also!

Finally got the Canon EOS500D DSLR at the Comex Fair!
Loving it so much now!

Great bargain with a free 3 in 1 photo printer which came at the right time!

Been psychoed by the sales person while collecting the freebies to extend the warranty..
and got this 4GB 5D Mark II thumbdrive for free! Super nice can..

and a 50mm f/1.8 lens for $50.

Just gave in to temptation. I'm so horrible.

Nothing beats having my favourite food for lunch on a lazy Saturday.

Isaac brought me and Glenn to have Italian food at somewhere deep in Bukit Timah.

Yes IPP has ended, and updates of life after IPP.

I'm missing...

my desk,
that dell computer i've been using for the past 12 weeks,
waiting for the high-rise lift to go to 20th floor everyday.
the cup of coffee i will never fail to make daily at the pantry
the soon-kway at level 4's cafe.
my daily routine at work!

I actually let out a tear when i step out of the building last friday.
The thought of a long farewell and leaving my team....
Oh man, i just couldn't help it mah!

To have been more bonded with the colleagues was the only regret that i had for this internship. I was really too quiet and don't really talk much to my team unless they talk to me.
I'm just a silent worker. Sighs, come to think of it, it was really wasted. The Jin Hui you guys know where got 'quiet' ? Hahaha.

Saturday was a escapade to JB for a chill chill relax relax. I love going JB as it is a good place for a short 散散心。Great and cheap food there too!

Sunday was spent at home with family...and sleeping and a nicer dinner at Kim San Leng.

Monday was job interview for IT fair...and hiak...i was successful! Got home and went out for a movie, UP. Okay la, not too bad! Bought a jeans at UNI-QLO too!

Tuesday was like a 'running errands' day with Glenn. Followed Glenn, along with Cheryl with his car to Acer to fix his laptop, then to LG to get his fridge bulb, and finally...we managed to catch Where Got Ghost in time at Jurong Point. Yet another lame movie from Jack Neo. But if you call yourself a Singaporean, then just support support watch watch lah.

Wednesday was mahjong session at Danielle's house with Cheryl and Gary. Had a great time laughing at Gary's jokes. Ate damn bloody shiok crabs for dinner which cost me to burn a hole in my wallet! :( But nevertheless, the day was great and dinner was beyond great!

It has all come to an end.
My 12 weeks of Internship at NOL.

I just hate the feeling of saying long goodbye, or rather a farewell.
I don't know, i just don't like it.

It's a freaking long and tiring day for me today. But nevertheless, i had lots and lots of fun today and i'm very happy :)

Anyway, updates.

First up, BITC Batch 9 BBQ at Jake's House on the 25th July.
It was great seeing everyone again after some time.
Felt quite apologetic for Jake for leaving without clearing up the mess and everything else.
But all in all, it was alright. :)

MAHJONG SESSION!

It was also a mini birthday celebration. It was really really funny for Jacintha trying hard to blow off all the 'prank' candles! And the saliva left by Jake's maid on the cake. Eeeeew! But, HAPPY 20th Birthday Jacintha!

Next, it was OSIM's Triathalon Challenge at ECP.
Took part in the Mini Relay Team Challenge for my company.

I'm not doing all the 3 but only swimming. That's what i think i'm only good at.

Got up early in the day at like 5.30am. Oh man.
This is a timing that i will never want to wake up if i have a choice not to.

ECP was heavily flooded with tons and tons of people.

Anyway, i was so happy with myself for being the top 5 swimmers to emerge out of the sea water
during our wave. It's my first time doing this kind of stuff! *grins humbly*

The most difficult part was the aftermath after the swim where you have to run to pass the tag to the cyclist after you come out of the water.
But nevertheless, i ran with all my mighty mights!

I was still so afriad before that as i cant imagine myself having my head submerged in the water and...SWIM!

I got a sudden thought to take part in the swim next year again....but i will need a team. If not i have to do the cycling and running also....which is ultra madness. I think i better quit this mad thought of me. I'm so skinny and all and i'm not some superman.

Managed to take leave from my supervisor to witness my one of my Sis's big day in her life: Graduation Day!

Congratulations, my dear sis!

From stepping into the Nanyang Auditorium, to hearing the achievor's speech all the way till the presentation of certificate, I kept on thinking. It's a little sad yet at the same time, i feel proud for my Sister!

About 9 more months, i will be experiencing the same moment my sister has experienced today.
Though mine is just a Diploma and im not some high achiever or had attained some Lee Kuan Yew Award, but......I think i will still be proud of myself.

Just imagine,

The friends made at the polytechnic...
The laughter, the pain and all the happy moments we all shared as a class.....
And everything that builds up to my life in NYP....

Come to think of it, isnt it a little sad?

Previously i was still confused and not knowing what to do after i graduated and after i'm done with NS.

The vision seems to be clearer now. I have set my goals.

Something that requires really great discipline from myself.
To study hard and earn a spot in local University, and wear the graduation robe and stand proud at the stage to receive my certification.

I know my GPA at the moment is just a bit away to get into U, but nevertheless, i shall just try! Why not strive hard and make full use of time instead of wasting it like how i have wasted the past 2 years?

After that, i will work hard and earn money, save up and travel around the world.
Afterall, that's one of my biggest dream in life.

Oh i'm already picturing how it will be already, tell me this is all not just a dream please?

Had dinner at Arirang Korean BBQ Restaurant. Decided to get the class to try this Korean Restaurant when i was with BBB9 the other time and came across this restaurant. Much as less the ambience of restaurant was 'korean-y', the food were delicious. Especially the kimchi and the meat! 생일축하합니다 Peiyu!

Wenxi's Farewell Dinner at Aston

Met up with Sab, LP and Wenxi at Cathay. Queued up with Sab to get seats while waiting for LP and Wenxi to finish their movie. Nearly died while queuing.......one whole freaking hour! Finally i get to try Aston. Everyone's saying it's nice it's nice! And true enough, Aston is really superb.....and cheap! Where can you get $6.50 Western Food that is of high quality? Don't tell me Food Junction. I will punch you right in the face for that!

After that dinner, i seem to laggard to the society. Probably waiting too long to get seats in Aston activated the gastric pain in me, after which fever + sore throat + cough + flu bug came attacking to my weak body at that moment.

I hardly get sick. And when i get sick, they come the hard way. This time, it's like the most serious one lah. Nearly felt like i was left on the most extreme part of Sahara Desert to left to cook and die under the scorching heat.

Almost felt like the world is ending on me this two days.
Feeling terrbily horrible on Thursday night, which i suspected was due to the late dinner at Aston when my empty could not hold in any longer, Gastric!

Slept, hoping to recover as i still have work on Friday. Got better, decided to go for work.
Couldnt take it, and boss asked me to go home if i really wasnt feeling well.

Oh man..left work at 12.20pm. Slept all the way at home till 6.
In between took temperatures, and guess what...39.7 degrees! Freaking high! This is like the worst fever i've even gotten! My whole body is like burning hot. My mom even told me i could cook a few eggs on my body.

What added on to my torture. was the damn sorethroat, stupid running nose and the irritating cough.

Went to see the doctor early in the day just now. I was so afraid the doctor is going to tell me i have contracted _1 _ 1. I will kill them la! I don't even have any breathing difficulties. Took their medications and felt so much better now.

The doctor even gave me MC till Wed.
I'm feeling better already....so what should i do? Stay at home and rest till i fully recover or go back to work? Dilema.

There are really Good Samaritans in Singapore.

And i'm so fortunate and blessed i met one yesterday.

I dropped my phone on the bus yesterday and this lady picked it up and called back to tell me i had dropped my phone in the bus and i can meet her to collect my phone at Bukit Gombak station. Oh my god. I just felt so lucky. I already felt something was missing from me when i alighted from the bus. And it was true when i couldnt find my phone in the bus. Oh my! She's really nice. I bet others would probably just take the phone away. I'm sure she will be blessed with good luck all her lifetime , having done such a good deed!

Anyway, had a great time at Sentosa yesterday! It's good to be relaxing under the sun sometimes! Ice cream at Island Creamery was heavenly and chilling at Wen Xi's big big big big house was great!

TUESDAY OFFICIALLY SUCKED!
Everything always turns bad on a T u e s d a y.
2 weeks ago i was so so unlucky for work.
And today i just cause history to repeat.

Apologised to my supervisor.
The reply he gave in his SMS, all of a sudden, took away the emo-ness in me and i felt so blessed.
I realise i am actually so blessed to have a supervisor like him and my colleagues are all nice people.

By right, anyone would probably scream or told me off, but he was calm and helped me clear up all the mess, even skipping his lunch to do so, and not even breathing anything about it.

I felt so so so guilty, but at the same time, i can't do anything.

Finally a staff came to my rescuse.

Totally no freedom. I used to complain how painful it was to stare at the computer for 9 hours during FYPJ. Now, this one's worse.

Alright ladies and gentlemen,

I'm back in Singapore!

This blasting 40 days in Beijing had been indeed a memorable one.
Lots and lots and umpteen fun, bonds built and friendship fostered.

Every time i come back from a trip,
I learn.
Not forgetting this Overseas Placement Programme to Beijing Information Technology College.

I have learned alot. Being independent, more in depth about Chinese culture, especially the culture of Beijing. Their actions, the way they talked and etc.

It has really been a great trip there with Batch #9.
If there is this chance to go, i will certainly want to be back to Beijing a g a i n.

I'll continue to update and post more photos.

Week 3 outing was to Great Wall of China and the Temple of Heaven and 香山。

It was 'shiok' conquering one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

Discussed with my supervisor my work. I'm glad she was quite satisfied with the output. Now i'm gonna work hard to produce more work. Nothing's gonna stop me!

Oh my time flies. 17 more days and i'll be back already. Can't wait yet can't bear. I must fully utilize the remaining days!

It's the 3rd week in Beijing already.

Despite the sudden coldness sometimes and my soon-to-be dry snake skin which is irritating me, everything has been fine.

Congrats to our batch for winning BiTC 28-27 in Basketball! We have broke the history and created the legacy!

798 Art District was the one of the place i'm most anticipated about.
It's really a cool cool cool cool place but it's sad that everything is so rushy that i didnt get to slow down to enjoy and take photos. Sighs.

The Bird Nest 鸟巢 is super cool! It's ultra magnificant.
My eyes were totally glued to the structure the whole time.

Great yet cheap food eaten :)
But i'm offically afraid of the word 'Steamboat', '蒸饺’ or '串串' ! The thought of it just give me goosebumps!

Yet again, there are lots of photos taken but i'm just too lazy to upload everything. Blogger might probably just ban me! Okay....maybe i'll post up more photos soon.

Time pass really fast and become i can even think about it, week 3 will be over soon.
Will be conquering the Great Wall this coming outing! So so so excited!

Okay, finally i pick up some laziness cells in me to blog!
It has been a week in Beijing BiTC for me already.
Things are fine here and i'm slowly adapting to everything already.
Just that i still hate it when my lip always goes dry and it starts to crack due to their dry weather!

Ultra madness with the batch, tons and tons of millions of photos when it's only Week 1!

Week 1's outing was to 恭王府 and 故宫(Forbidden City)!

There's really more photos i've taken with many people and i'm just too lazy to continue adding them! Maybe i'll post more soon!

Dun miss me people, i will feel sad when u all miss me! Cause just tell yourself time flies and i'll be back soon!

Woohoo! Results are out and i'm so proud of myself this time.
I think i did well and i'm so happy!
Although i was still a little away from my target GPA, it's still alright.
Nevertheless, i will keep working hard!

I hardly have any energy to have my own personal time.
Let alone blogging.
FYPJ has been draining my energy bit by bit and everytime i gets home i just feel so weary that i can fall asleep on the sofa while watching TV.

Before i could use my laptop to do some stuff, it's the calling for me to sleep. 6.50am every morning and at 8.20am when i reach the bus stop i have to race against my legs to reach the computer lab before it hits 8.30am and i will be announced LATE in the system. ARGH!

I feel so physically drained this week. I just can't pick myself up to do anything.
It seems like there's something in my body that's controlling what i shouldn't do.

All of a sudden, i feel that i'm like lost in the woods. But this time, i refuse to find my way out. I want to be led out with my friends and family. I'm tired and i'm so dependent on help now.

And they will always be, a part of me.

Precious Weekends

Finally the weekends are here! It seems seems seems so precious now!
The thought of having to go back school on Monday to continue the pain just ain't good.

Got the internet connection at home fixed! Thanks glenn and your help has been greatly appreciated! :D

Back from the Singapore Entertainment Awards at Marina Bay Floating Platform.

Since it was a free ticket collected from school, couldn't ask for much but had to sit just at the back seats. So those stars were just like tiny little ants from up there.

Couldn't really feel the 'high' atmosphere probably because we were sitting way at the top. Therefore, felt a little restless! Nevertheless, the songs by Stefanie Sun, Chew Sin Huey, Choi Chua and many others were fantastic! Lee Feng got some part of the crowd crazy but Luo Zhi Xiang was the one that took the whole stage off. The whole crowd also went mad and all stood up to watch his exciting dance. But i find his singing okay okay nia.

Met up with Sabrina and Shu Huak last Wednesday to catch a movie, Marley and Me. It will be a fantastic show if you own a dog because you can really feel the love they had towards the dog. And it's heartbreaking when it dies one day. Eyes were a little wet but didn't cry. Haha, i don't own a dog.

Ate Pepper Lunch before that.
Up till now, Pepper Lunch is still a scam.

Day 2 of FYPJ finished, boring-ly.

Still lost in the woods.
Project known but tasks unknowned.

And those supervisors doesn't let us wear berms to school.
Say what must be pleasant to the eyes and must dress like working condition.
What the hell?! What hell rules la!

Now i have to wear jeans like almost everyday. I think my jeans from blue will turn to pathetic blue soon.

Tuesday is exercise day!
Hahaha! Yes. NAPFA is coming and the school wants us to train! RAH!
Exercise at 4.30pm!
I'm sure the word 'NAPFA' has completely disappeared and perished into the clouds after everyone entered poly. Ha!

Anyway, this exercise lesson will be a way for me to break-free from the fishtank. You know it's hard facing the computer for 9 hours a day and you have nothing to do but just go to internet explorer and type facebook.com and start playing! After that you just go to blogs and read and read and read. After that load MSN and plain-nonsensical-gossip-rubbish chats will start and everyone will start complaining how boring it is! LONG ROARRRRS!

FYPJ has been a real pain since morning.
Monday really blues.

I totally find my group members weird.
Lucky i still have a Jackson with me!

I can't be bothered making new 'friends'.

Everybody is splited up but we can still meet up for lunch.

Kind of nice walking around the big big fish tank!

But nevermind, i'm convincing myself that i will just have to stay for 5 weeks in the bloody lab and leave for Beijing after that.

Real pain seriously.
